Our Mission

Spoken Soul Society was created with the belief that words hold the power to transform lives. Our mission is to provide a platform where stories—especially those too often silenced or overlooked—can be spoken, heard, and celebrated. We exist to empower young voices, amplify diverse perspectives, and create a community rooted in authenticity, resilience, and creativity.

Through spoken word, performance, and storytelling, we aim to spark conversations that matter, inspire empathy, and encourage social change. We are dedicated to building an inclusive space where high school competitors, artists, and everyday storytellers alike can grow their confidence, embrace their identity, and connect with others through the soul of their words.

Meet the Founder

Allison Hernandez

Spoken Soul Society was founded by Allison Hernandez, a high school competitor on the NSDA Speech & Debate circuit with a passion for amplifying voices and stories that move people. Through her experiences performing and competing, she saw how words can transform, connect, and inspire change. Spoken Soul Society is her way of creating a space where creativity, identity, and storytelling come together to empower others to share their own truth.
